Franco Specialty Coffee was born with the dedication to make specialty coffee more approachable and available to the market. As the market for more innovative processing methods increases we are experiencing coffee price to increase too, this is due to the higher investments made at farm level as well as the higher cup quality reached thanks to the innovative processing method itself.
That said, still we have a wonderful range of specialty grade coffees processed with more traditional less expensive methods from around the world that make great cup quality, though the dedication and attention/skills during the processing of coffee is paramount for great cup quality, cleanness and balance in the cup.
These are the coffees we love to work with the most as they present a clean cup with clear distinctive flavour notes of the varietal/origin of coffee (Terroir)
Our goal is to replace expensive commodity paid coffee for affordable ethical specialty coffee in cafes around UK, as some multi national companies like to pay cheap and charge more based on their brand, we are all about the honesty of price as well as the people finance behind every coffee we buy.
Ps: we love high quality coffee so even though we will focus on finding coffees that are ethical and affordable over time we will also be showcasing some more expensive and unique coffees.

Franco Protocol
we cup coffee samples provided by our green coffee Importer partners that are fresh in season using the SCA cupping protocol - once quality is assessed we look at the farming practices as well as the story of the farmers or commitments of washing stations and their impact - in this way we get to find coffees that are matching our quality standards as well as making buying decisions that help make a change where possible.
in the meantime we look to identify coffees that perfectly match our criteria and we hope to establish a relationship by buying these very coffees every year so to make an impact with whatever business we can create. as time goes on and our searches finalised we will make sure to update you on these relationships , tho all depends on our green coffee importers relationship with the farmers we will voice our interest to them so we can still source these coffees throughout the year, and, year after year.
